OK, As of late there have been some mysterious things happening on winMX
Rooms have been going down, weird pictures have been in rooms and most importantly, ROOMS HAVE BEEN GOING DOWN
This is because of one thing. RTF Coding
In case you didn't know RTF Coding's the code used to make fonts change color and change in size. MX is full of it. that's why the text is green when someone enters.
A few people learned of this and have started to use it maliciously. Now usually this wouldn't be a problem but the coding they're using crashes rooms pretty fast. After talking to a few people we realised that Windows 98 users couldn't see the end result of the code but (thanks to the idiots at Microsoft), ME, XP and 2K users could.
This is OK for users because it won't really hurt them. But hosts of rooms on these Operating systems would be affected adn their rooms would go down.
To combat this we've taken one of the old win98 dlls that couldn't see the code and shared it online. By putting this dll in windows, kiss all rtf formatting in any app goodbye. But since the program (MX) looks for the dll in it's home directory first, by putting the win98 dll in the C:\Program Files\WinMX directory, rtf coding in other apps will work but not in MX
Download the file riched32.dll and place it in your winmx directory. when you restart MX the rtf coding used by script kiddies won't affect you and you can boot them at will.
NOTE: RCMS will still work with this dll in place.
